Amid a surge of interest, Ford announced Tuesday that it will nearly double production capacity for the electric version of its top-selling F-150 pickup truck. The US automaker now aims to produce 150,000 units a year of the F-150 Lightning, with the first deliveries due in the spring, “pulling out all the stops” to boost output at its electric vehicle plant in Dearborn, Michigan, the company said in a statement.
