The number of firefighters battling to contain a forest fire in the Czech Republic’s Bohemian Switzerland National Park has increased from 150 to 900, according to emergency services. “Our goal is to reduce the affected area as much as possible,” a spokesman told public television CT of the fire, which currently covers about 1,000 hectares of land. The Bohemian Switzerland National Park is near the border to Germany, where it is also burning. The fire is still not under control a week after it broke out.
