Berlin Mayor Franziska Giffey said banning fireworks in some parts of the city, a policy introduced in 2020 due to the pandemic, could help protect the emergency forces. “We also have to talk about pacifying certain areas of the city beyond the coronavirus pandemic by not allowing fireworks there,” she said on Friday.
