Police are pondering charges of a breach in the peace following riots amid New Year’s celebrations in the east of the German city of Leipzig. About half an hour after midnight on Saturday, reports of burning objects at an intersection were received, police said. Hundreds of people had gathered in the city street called Eisenbahnstra├če.
