The scientific principles behind climate change got a boost on Tuesday as this year’s Nobel Prize in Physics went to a trio of researchers whose work has helped the world understand complex systems, including those governing climate. Syukuro Manabe, Klaus Hasselmann and Giorgio Parisi won the prize.
