Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi has called for the UN’s support to enable ships to leave Ukrainian ports and cross the Black Sea, currently blocked by Russia. Draghi said the UN could coordinate efforts to end the blockade of ships to enable grain to be transported from Ukraine, as fears grow that a shortage could have catastrophic effects in poor countries. “The only way is a United Nations resolution to regulate the corridors in the Black Sea,” Draghi said during a joint press conference in Kiev.
