EU Commission escalates LGBT law row with Hungary to top EU court

Hungary is facing more legal action at the European Court of Justice (ECJ) after the European Commission on Friday escalated a major row over LGBT legislation to the bloc’s top court. The Hungarian law restricting access to information on LGBT issues “discriminates against people on the basis of their sexual orientation and gender identity,” the commission said in a statement.
