EU Commission wants more action against loss of bees and pollinators

The European Commission presented additional plans on Tuesday to reach the European Union’s goal of stopping the decline in the numbers of pollinators like bees by 2030. “Scientists say that one third of all bee, butterfly and hoverfly species are now in steep decline, and this decline is truly worrying,” EU Environment Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius said in Brussels.
