Amid fears that power shortages are about to become the order of the day due to a feared cut-off of Russian gas, Berlin’s Senate is expected to weigh in sometime in the coming month whether to turn the lights off at central tourist attractions, like the Brandenburg gate. “It is an option,” said Mayor Klaus Lederer on Tuesday.
