Felix one of four appointed to IOC Athletes’ Commission

US athletics queen Allyson Felix and British triathlon Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee are new appointments to the International Olympic Committee’s Athletes’ Commission. The Afghanistan-born cyclist Masomah Ali Zada from the refugee team at last year’s Tokyo Games and Canada’s Summer and Winter Olympic star Oluseyi Smith have also been nominated, the IOC said on Wednesday. Smith took part in the 4×100 metres athletics relay at London 2012 and was a pusher in the bobsleigh at Pyeongchang 2018. The commission helps represent the athlete voice within the Olympic Movement.
