Late evening starts will continue at the French Open despite criticism from top players. Rafael Nadal’s quarter-final against Novak Djokovic did not finish until 1:15 am (2315 GMT) early Wednesday morning. “The night sessions will stay,” tournament director Amelie Mauresmo told a press conference. However, the former top French player said she would take a close look at whether the start of matches could be brought forward a bit in future tournaments. Broadcaster demands have been blamed for the late starts.
