Gazprom throttles gas supplies to Slovakia by half

Slovakia has joined a growing list of EU countries to see their gas supplies from Russia’s state-owned energy giant Gazprom curtailed. Slovakia’s energy supplier SPP said it has received only 50% of Friday’s contractually agreed quantity with Russia, the TASR news agency reported. The Central European country said the gas flows have been reduced steadily in recent days. Flows were curbed by 10% on Tuesday, 15% on Wednesday and more than a third on Thursday.
