ATLANTA — The Georgia House voted Wednesday to remap the state’s 180 districts in a way that protects a shrinking Republican majority and adds new metro Atlanta districts to accommodate population growth. The 99-79 vote, almost entirely along party lines, clears the way for the General Assembly to finish redistricting itself within days, a rapid process that began a week ago.
