German police carried out raids nationwide targeting the purveyors of online hate speech, officials said on Monday. Officers in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate took the lead in the raids, although they did not reveal how many other states were involved. “Hate and incitement have no place in our society,” said Rhineland-Palatinate Interior Minister Roger Lewentz.
