Germany will release under-21 coach Kuntz if he lands Turkey job

Stefan Kuntz will be released as Germany under-21 coach if he becomes national team coach in Turkey. The German Football Federation (DFB) said on Friday it “does want to stand in the way of his next career step.” It also named Kuntz’s “success with the German U21 national team and his special relationship with Turkey,” as well as “an expression of the friendship between German and Turkish football.” Kuntz, 58, has confirmed talks with the Turkish federation but a contract is yet to be signed.
