Germany’s Scholz back in Poland after Kiev visit

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has left Ukraine after a day-long visit on Thursday with three other European leaders. Scholz arrived in Przemysl in south-eastern Poland, just several kilometres from the Ukrainian border, by train on Friday morning. The train ride from Przemysl to Kiev is a preferred route for diplomats visiting the Ukrainian capital, given that the airspace is closed due to the war between Russian and Ukrainian forces.
