Germany’s vaccine board calls for coronavirus boosters for all adults

Germany’s official vaccination body has called for all adults to be given booster shots of the coronavirus vaccine in an attempt to break the fourth wave of the pandemic in the country. The Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) says it has sent out a draft decision to all 16 states and to professional bodies across the country for approval for booster vaccinations for all those aged 18 and older. The draft can still be changed after recommendations from the states, which are primarily responsible for health policy in Germany. A final STIKO recommendation will then follow.
