High-tech employees latest group to protest Israeli judiciary reforms

Several hundred employees of the high-tech industry in Israel took to the streets on Tuesday to protest planned reforms by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s new government. The workers stopped work for about an hour in Tel Aviv at noon (1000 GMT) and blocked a central access road, waving Israeli flags. Organizers of the protest explained that they were against the new Justice Minister Yariv Levin’s plans to deliberately weaken the country’s judiciary.
