When Claude Quenot looks out of the window, all he can see are the saw-tooth ridges of mountains towering in every direction. Quenot runs a mountain hut high in the Alps. Above him are rocky peaks, while below is the small town of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, nestled in the valley. Tourists from around the world flock to this part of France to hike and explore, meaning they show up hungry at the mountain huts dotted along the paths, to snack or spend the night.
