Ischgl, Europe’s capital of ski parties, back in business this winter

In March 2020, the apres-ski bars of Austria’s Ischgl winter holiday resort became ground zero of Europe’s coronavirus outbreak. Tourists from across Europe were infected and brought the virus back to their home countries. The resort later cancelled the 2020/21 winter season for safety reasons. This season, however, Ischgl aims to move beyond the bad press and return towards relatively normal ski holidays with a new hygiene concept.
