Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson on Thursday clocked the second fastest time ever in the women’s 200 metre at the world championships in Eugene, Oregon, beating compatriot Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce to the gold. In the men’s 200m, Noah Lyles became the third fastest man of all-time for a US national record to lead a second American sprint podium sweep. Jackson, who won silver behind Fraser-Pryce in the 100m, ran a championship record 21.45 seconds, just 11-hundredths shy of the late Florence Griffith-Joyner’s world record 21.34 seconds from 1988.
