Kobayashi edges Eisenbichler to claim second win in Four Hills

Japan’s Ryoyu Kobayashi leapt just as far as he needed, and not a centimetre more, to claim his second consecutive win in ski jumping’s Four Hills tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Saturday to control the standings at the halfway mark. A brilliant second jump from German home favourite Markus Eisenbichler, of 143.5 metres, put the pressure on Kobayashi to find 135.5m and he did exactly that.
