Bayer Leverkusen suffered a shock 4-3 defeat at third tier Elversberg on Saturday to crash out of the German Cup first round. Fellow Bundesliga side Cologne were also eliminated 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw at second division Jahn Regensburg.
