NEW YORK — Judgment day is approaching for foes of the deGrominator. Mets ace Jacob deGrom pitched his first simulated game Thursday, tossing 60 pitches. A team spokesperson said deGrom reported “feeling good after the outing,” according to MLB.com. It’s unclear what the simulated game means for deGrom’s return to the Mets, but it’s possible he rejoins the team in an upcoming series if he doesn’t suffer any more setbacks.
