The head of the German disease control body RKI has issued an urgent call for a reduction in contact to control the fourth wave of the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the country. Speaking in Berlin, Lothar Wieler, the head of the Robert Koch Institute, called for people to stay at home to the extent possible and for poorly ventilated cafes to close.
