New boss for Porsche Engineering with Peter Schäfer set to retire

The new head of Porsche Engineering will be Markus-Christian Eberl, the German luxury car firm said on Monday. Porsche Automobil Holding, a holding company of the Volkswagen Group, said on Monday that Eberl, its current technical conformity vice president, would be the new chief executive of Porsche Engineering with effect from June 1. Eberl will succeed current Porsche Engineering boss Peter Schäfer, who is scheduled to retire on May 31. Eberl has been with Porsche for 23 years.
