New coach Kramer pledges ‘to play football that suits Schalke’

Frank Kramer has been appointed Schalke coach in succession of interim helmsman Mike Büskens, the Bundesliga club confirmed on Tuesday. Kramer, 50, signed a two-year contract until 2024 at the promoted club. He was last in charge at relegated Arminia Bielefeld where he had to go on April 20. Schalke sacked Dimitrios Grammozis the same month and named assistant Büskens, a club icon, caretaker for the rest of the season.
