Jersey City hip-hop icon Junestar Mr. Blackman desperately wanted to get an album out in June, not only because of the concurrence with his stage name and his June birthday, but also to commemorate the newly minted federal holiday of Juneteenth. “The Unknowing” dropped on June 19 thanks to the the help of Junestar’s longtime collaborator and producer, Dontique Mangual.
