Nokia second-quarter profit climbs, confirms full-year outlook

Finnish telecom equipment supplier Nokia increased sales and profits in the second quarter, boosted by robust growth in its network infrastructure business. Group sales rose by 11% year-on-year to just under €5.9 billion ($6 billion), the company reported on Thursday. Adjusted for currency exchange-rate effects, the increase was 3%.
