Original copy of US Constitution sells for $43 million, crypto group outbid

One of 13 remaining original copies of the U.S. Constitution sold for $43.2 million at auction Thursday night. The winner of the auction remains unknown, but it was the runner-up who made headlines. An online collective called Constitution DAO raised $40 million for the bid but couldn’t get it done, the Wall Street Journal reported. Constitution DAO was a “decentralized autonomous organization” created for the explicit purpose of purchasing the Constitution.
