Platini lawyer wants acquittal for ex UEFA boss in FIFA fraud trial

Michel Platini’s lawyer said on Monday the former UEFA president must be acquitted in a Swiss fraud trial against him and Joseph Blatter, the former head of the ruling footbal body FIFA. Lawyer Dominic Nöllen told a Bellinzona court that there was to motive for the alleged fraud but rather one for the criminal trial because the original suspicion was fabricated.
