Pope Francis condemned selfishness in society during his Pentecost address on Sunday. “The secular spirit pushes us to focus only on our own problems and interests,” he said during the Whit Sunday, or Pentecost, service in St Peter’s Basilica. He said that people only focused on the need to appear relevant and on struggling to defend their own national identities and group affiliations.
