A number of German states opted for stricter measures in the fight against the coronavirus on Tuesday, as the nation’s disease control agency reported another record-setting rise in infections. In the capital Berlin, the city government updated its rules on who can and cannot enter certain establishments, sources told dpa. Soon people will have to be vaccinated or have recovered from a coronavirus infection in order to enter most shops. Unvaccinated people will be denied entry.
