South African parliament fire flares up after firefighters sent home

The fire that ripped through South Africa’s parliament building over the weekend has flared up again, despite indications that the blaze had been brought under control. Flames and thick clouds of smoke could be seen rising from the roof of the historic building on Monday evening. The number of firefighters, which had been cut from 70 to a dozen earlier in the day, was immediately increased again.
