If you can’t beat ‘em, back ‘em. That’s what the New Jersey AFL-CIO did Wednesday at its political conference in Atlantic City, when the labor federation endorsed Rep. Jeff Van Drew, the lawmaker it sought to defeat two years ago. The AFL-CIO backed Democratic challenger Amy Kennedy in the 2020 election after supporting Van Drew when he was a Democrat in 2018.
