Zverev withdraws from Halle tournament in wake of ankle injury

Alexander Zverev has officially withdrawn from next week’s grass court tournament in Halle, Germany, in the wake of his severe ankle injury sustained at the French Open. “Of course we would have liked to have seen him play in Halle but now it is important that he gets well again soon,” tournament director Ralf Weber said on Monday.
